Tarquinia & Tuscania Day Trip
At 9 am we'll meet at the Piramide metro station, located in Piazzale Ostiense in Rome. We'll get on the minibus and travel for 1 hour and 15 minutes to Tarquinia to visit one of its most symbolic locations.
First, we'll visit the Necropolis of Monterozzi, a complex of more than 6000 tombs dating back to the 7th century BC. Did you know that this place is protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site?
We'll spend 2 hours touring the site and admiring the impressive frescoes painted on the tombs. You'll also find out about numerous curiosities concerning the Etruscan culture that will allow you to imagine what life was like thousands of years ago.
Afterwards, we'll make a stop for lunch in the city of Tarquinia. The meal will include a first course, a second and dessert, as well as water and a choice of a glass of wine, a beer or a soft drink.
The tour will then take us to Tuscania, for a guided tour of the old town, revealing its Etruscan past and getting to know its most charming corners. We'll see the Lavello Tower, the Santa Maria Maggiore church, the San Pietro church and much more! Afterwards, you'll have 1 hour of free time to continue exploring the town at your leisure.
The day trip will end returning to the minibus and arriving at the starting point at 7 pm.
