The Circus Maximus, Piazza Navona, the Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain... the list of places to see in Rome is endless. Discover the city's most emblematic monuments on board a Segway, the 21st-century chariot, and choose from three options to tailor your tour to your interests.
Rome Segway Tour
When making your reservation, you'll have the choice between three different options, giving you the opportunity to personalise your experience of Rome. All of the options include a 30 minute lesson on how to drive the Segway, before heading out to explore the city.
Ancient Rome Segway Tour (3.5 hours)
Remembering Ben Hur you'll take your "chariot" and direct it towards the Circus Maximus, where you'll enjoy the most spectacular views of Palatine Hill. From here you'll climb Aventine Hill, from which you'll have the best panoramic views of the city of Rome, as well as discovering the famous "keyhole" of the Knights of Malta.
Put our honesty to the test next, visiting the Bocca della Verità (Mouth of Truth), made famous by the Audrey Hepburn film "Roman Holiday". And if you survive the test, the next stop on your Segway tour will be the Roman Forum. Circle the ancient government buildings on your wheels, discovering its ruins, columns and temples.
Reaching Capitoline Hill, you'll admire the views of the Forum from above, before continuing to one of the main symbols of Rome, the Colosseum. Learn all about its history as you drive around it on your Segway, stopping to take the best possible photos.
Express Segway Tour of Rome (2 hours)
If you're short on time but still want to see the best of the "Eternal City", this is the option for you. You'll head straight into the historic heart of Rome to explore the Circus Maximus. You may be on a modern Segway, but it won't be hard to imagine yourself racing in a traditional chariot!
Having enjoyed the views from Palatine Hill, you'll then travel through time visiting the emblematic Roman Forum, the city's most important archaeological site. Marvel at the ancient ruins of this square, which was the centre of daily life for centuries in Ancient Rome.
Make your way up to the top of Capitoline Hill, from which you'll be able to enjoy splendid panoramic views of the Forum, before cruising over to the final stop on your Segway tour: the iconic Colosseum.
The Best of Rome by Segway (3.5 hours)
Enjoy a comprehensive route around the best bits of Rome on this Segway tour: explore Medieval streets and pass the Imperial Fora, arriving at Piazza Campidoglio... did you know this square was designed by the one and only Michelangelo?
Next, you'll be welcomed to the markets of Campo dei Fiori with open arms. Navigate your way through the stalls to reach one of the city's most popular plazas, the Piazza Navona, famous for its elegant fountains. Delve into Ancient Rome next, arriving at the Pantheon, one of the best-conserved Roman temples, before immersing yourself in culture and history at the Sant'Ignazio Church.
Got any spare change? You'll head to the famous Trevi Fountain next, and you'll want to drop a coin in - as legend goes, this guarantees your return visit to the city of Rome! Finally, your tour will bring you to the Spanish Steps, where you'll be able to admire the Trinità dei Monti Church looking down on you.
To take this tour you must be between 16 and 70 years old, weigh between 45 and 115 kg (100 and 250 lb, 7 and 18 st) and be able to get on the Segway without help.
