Pantheon Guided Tour
The impressive dome of the Pantheon of Agrippa has fascinated the whole world for centuries. Discover it with this guided tour of Ancient Rome.
Pantheon of Agrippa Guided Tour
At the time of your choice, we'll meet at Piazza della Rotonda and begin our guided tour of the Pantheon of Agrippa.
Upon arrival, we'll make a first stop at the obelisk and the elephant in Piazza della Minerva, a sculpture designed by Bernini himself. You'll learn all there is to know about the great symbolic importance it holds.
We'll then make our way to the Pantheon which has now been converted into a church. We'll admire its spectacular dome, whose dimensions are even larger than those of St. Peter's in the Vatican.
The guided tour will provide a masterclass in the history of this building, whose origins date back to the 2nd century, and we'll admire its great oculus. We'll also visit the tomb of Raphael and of other Italian monarchs such as Victor Emmanuel II and Humbert I.
After an hour-long tour, we'll say goodbye outside the Pantheon of Agrippa.
Pantheon + Jewish Quarter Tour
If you want to make your experience even more complete, you can book the option that includes a tour of the Jewish Quarter of Rome.
In this case, after visiting the Pantheon of Agrippa, we'll walk along Via della Minerva to Largo di Torre Argentina and we'll stop in front of the ruins of the Theatre of Marcellus. Doesn't it remind you of another famous building of the Ancient Roman Empire?
Next to it we'll also admire the church of Sant'Angelo in Pescheria. Do you want to know the reason for its name? In its beginnings, this temple was located near the fish market built on the ruins of the Porticus Octaviae.
After two hours, we will end the tour in the vicinity of the Portico of Octavia.
