After meeting at 9 am at the Piramide metro station in Rome, we'll board a minibus that will take us to the town of Bomarzo. The journey will take about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Are you ready to visit the Gardens of Bomarzo? Also known as the Park of the Monsters, created around 1552 by order of Vicino Orsini, one of the great patrons of the Italian Renaissance. A garden where art merges with nature. We'll tell you why most of the images have a slightly scary aspect.
Then we'll return to the minibus and head to Viterbo to enjoy a delicious lunch. The meal will include a first course, second course, dessert and water, soft drink, beer or a glass of wine. Enjoy!
You'll then have 1 hour of free time to start exploring this city of Etruscan origin on your own. Afterwards, we'll take you on a guided tour of its historical centre.
During the walking tour, we'll see the Santa Maria della Verità church, and we'll walk through the San Pellegrino district. We'll also stop at the Papal Palace. Did you know that the first conclave held in this building took more than two years to elect a new Pope? The longest and most disputed election in the Catholic Church!
The tour will end by arriving in Rome at 7 pm.
