Sistine Chapel Early Bird Tour + Vatican Museums
With this ticket you'll get access to the Sistine Chapel first thing in the morning, avoiding all the crowds. Then you can enjoy the other Vatican Museums at your leisure!
Sistine Chapel Early Bird Tour + Vatican Museums
We'll meet at 7:45 am on Viale Vaticano street in Rome, very close to the main entrance of the Vatican Museums. Thanks to our first access ticket, we'll enter the museums 30 minutes before the start of the group tours and 1 hour before the opening to the general public.
Before heading inside, the guide will give us an introduction to the museums and share some interesting facts about the Sistine Chapel, as no talking is allowed here. As we don't need to wait in the queues at the ticket office, we'll enter the Vatican Museums at 8 am and walk to the Sistine Chapel. We'll be among the first 300 people to visit these popular attractions!
You'll have time to admire all the details of the frescoes of the Sistine Chapel at your own pace. Both the murals and the vault paintings are decorated with masterpieces in art history. Among the most striking ones, we can highlight pieces such as The Creation of Adam and The Last Judgment, both by Michelangelo Buonarroti; the Temptations of Christ by Sandro Botticelli; and the Last Supper, by Cosimo Rosselli.
You can visit the rest of the Vatican Museums on your own until closing time. Its exhibition has a permanent collection of great artistic and patrimonial value. Particularly noteworthy are the Rooms of Raphael, the Gallery of Maps, and the Pio-Clementine Museum, which houses the famous sculpture of Laocoön and his sons.
St. Peter's Basilica
Access to St. Peter's Basilica from the Sistine Chapel opens at approximately 10 am. Due to masses or religious events, we cannot guarantee direct passage as the tour will end at 9:15 or 9:30 am at the Sistine Chapel. If the accessway is open, we'll accompany you to the entrance of the Basilica, since tourists aren't allowed to pass through this accessway without a guide.
In any case, if you wish to visit the Basilica on your own after the tour, you can do so from St. Peter's Square.
