We'll meet at 10 am at Largo della Pace, located in the famous port of Civitavecchia. From this point, we'll start this two-hour guided tour. We'll walk through the medieval streets of this city whose origins date all the way back to the Etruscan period.

We'll discover the past of Civitavecchia, which was a strategic place for the Roman Empire. We'll relive the history of this important naval port, built by Emperor Trajan, before entering the heart of this town in the Lazio region.

Next we'll walk through Piazza Leandra, where we'll tell you the story of the brave sailor after whom it's named, and we'll see the charming Church of the Star, one of the oldest in the city.

Next, we'll stop in front of the Renaissance fortress of Civitavecchia, its structure was designed by architects of the stature of Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo and Bramante. Pope Julius II blessed and laid the first stone of the building.
